Lauren Davis worked very hard for us. We are a military family and we were going through the process without ever seeing the house. Lauren did video conferences to see houses, she took pictures and did everything we asked for. She was always responsive to contact even outside of business hours and she worked hard on our contract and was very knowledgeable. I had a wonderful experience working with Chris. As a first time seller, I was inexperienced and relied heavily on his knowledge. When I had purchased the home many years ago I encountered problem after problem, so I was dreading the selling process...but it could not have gone any better! Delicia and I began working together in the late summer of 2019. We had an instant rapport and such fun together in what was to be a 14 month search! My husband and I were just getting the lay of the land and had no idea where to look, or even if we wanted a house or a condo. Delicia patiently showed me numerous properties all across the City of Charleston, from Historical Charleston, West Ashley, James Island and Johns Island. She showed me condos and houses. It was just the two of us in the beginning, Delicia and me, as we narrowed down where and what we were looking for, then we brought my husband on board. Delicia very quickly noticed that my husband would really enjoy new construction, and she was right! My husband heard from a work colleague of a new neighborhood on Johns Island called Oakfield. That is ultimately where we bought our beautiful new home! We feel Delicia handled all the moving parts of our new home purchase kindly and professionally. She was a liaison between us and the builder. The best thing, of many things, Delicia did to assist us in the new buying process was communication with the builder over backordered flooring and a backsplash that was installed incorrectly. With her help we were able to have our first choice flooring installed and the backsplash was corrected and beautiful! Additionally, Delicia was there for us, spending hours with us during walk throughs on three properties we were interested in. We appreciate her endless patience and are so grateful! Delicia was a joy to work with and we would absolutely work with her again on another home purchase. After living in Annapolis, Maryland, for 21 years, we had searched the East Coast for several years after our retirement, looking for a place to relocate which would satisfy our needs to (1) be closer to family, (2) give Paul ample opportunties for salt and fresh water fishing, (3) provide Ursula with outlets to continue her passion for playing bridge, (4) allow us to sell our snow shovel at our "moving sale", and, (5) reside in an area with ample health care, shopping, restaurants, entertainment and an affordable cost of living. Charleston fit the bill. We found Marshall Walker "on the internet" and contacted him. We arranged to come to Charleston for several days and Marshall worked with us, showing us the "lay of the land" without pressuring us to commit at that time. We were convinced in short order that Charleston was where we wanted to live and Marshall would be our realtor. We returned to Maryland, put our home on the market and returned to Charleston a few weeks later for some serious "house hunting" with Marshall. In short order, he instinctively came to terms with what he knew we would be interested in and, just as importantly, what we would not care for. As with most home buyers, we had set our price limit but, after a few days of searching, were getting somewhat discouraged and discussed raising the limit. Although we had been primarily interested in existing, pre-owned homes, Marshall came to us one morning and said, "I found out about a new construction that may be going back on the market tomorrow and I'd like for you to look at it." We took his advice, fell in love with the home, made an offer and it was accepted that afternoon. Unlike some previous realtors (we had purchased four homes prior to this), Marshall actually put us in our new home at a price several thousand dollars under the limit we had originally set.
